The Birthday
The sun woke me up at 5:00 AM on the Chester River in Maryland. It was my birthday and I was bummed about “feeling my age”. Yet the rising sun painted the sky with such brilliant yellows, oranges and pinks that I was overwhelmed with a feeling of promise and gratitude.
